Hi my name is Katherine Demchenko and I am a devoted wife and a mother to 5 little humans! I currently live rural South Australia but was born and raised in Adelaide! 

When I am not painting, I enjoy gardening, taking care of my pets (2 dogs, 2 cats & lots of chickens) and cooking/baking. I can play piano and I love listening to music!

I am a self taught artist and have always loved to paint, especially painting animals. 
I picked up the brush after a solid break when I had my children, and I used the time that I painted as a way to decompress and also to process the day. But most of the time, I would just turn on music or a podcast and switch my brain off from what I needed to do. 

When it comes to painting animals, I love the expressions that they give and the story that you can portray by simply enhancing their gaze.
